As per the directions of the Chhattisgarh Government, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, applications are invited from local residents for filling the vacant posts of Gram Panchayat Secretary in District South Bastar Dantewada. Interested candidates may send their application forms along with the required documents by Registered Post or Speed Post to the Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Dantewada on or before 28 November 2025, up to 5:00 PM. Applications received after the due date will not be considered.

Rules & Instructions

  •  The appointed Gram Panchayat Secretaries will be governed by the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Service (Conduct) Rules, 1998 and Chhattisgarh Panchayat Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1999.
  • During the appointment period, either party may terminate the appointment by giving one month’s prior notice or one month’s salary in lieu of notice.
  • The envelope must clearly mention the name of the post applied for; otherwise, the application may be rejected
  • The pay scale for the Gram Panchayat Secretary is ₹3,500–₹10,000 with a Grade Pay of ₹1,100, and DA will be payable as per rules.
  • Incomplete applications or those without the required documents will be automatically rejected and not considered.
  • Experience certificates for Employment Assistants will be valid only if issued by the Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat.
  •  Disability certificates of differently-abled candidates will be valid only if issued by the District Medical Board.
  •  Candidates who were previously employed but dismissed due to disciplinary action will be ineligible for appointment as Gram Panchayat Secretary.
  •  Selected candidates will be appointed on a probation period of two years, extendable up to five years. If performance is found unsatisfactory, services may be terminated by the appointing authority.
  • Any disputes related to the appointment of Gram Panchayat Secretaries will be decided finally by the Chief Executive Officer, District Panchayat Dantewada.
